To teach, duh! BUT I have new deadlines that I must meet in order for me to achieve the whole life long dream of teaching thang.

1. Must get my CROSS-CULTURAL LANGUAGE & ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT (CLAD) credential by January 31, 2008 or I will be forced to fulfill a whole new set of requirements to get the newly implemented California Teachers of English Learners (CTEL) credential. There are three domains for the CLAD and I have two of them. SO don't want to do that again.
2. Must get my CLEAR credential by October 01, 2008 or I will no longer be able to teach in public schools. It's basically renewing your teaching credential.
   

There are 4 classes for the CLEAR credential, and they're offered at D.U.C. Problem is, the first one starts this Friday. SO was not ready for that. I did find out (thanks to my oh so many connections here at D.U.C.) that I don't have to take them in order, so I can take the ones in October and March first and then take the ones in July and August next year. But honestly I'd probably want to take them now since you know, I can get them over with. They sound really interesting (to me anyways) but I have to talk to Borders since they're weekend (Friday and Saturday) classes. I know they won't be happy, and I don't want to push it there, but....ya know...We'll see. If I do take them, I'll be missing gaming for about a month...another month. Sigh.
The CLAD I can take courses online. I'm hoping to hear back from U.S.D. since I only need the Domain II and I'm not sure which classes will fulfill that requirement.
Wow. I'm once again on the path to teaching. It's scary. It's nerve wracking. But I am looking forward to it.
