My external hard drive died last night.
It made this high pitched death rattle before it stopped working. It disconnected itself and just went kaput. I brought it into my school's I.T. department. Some of the most brilliant tech guys I know looked at it, pried it open, and scanned it. Nothing. It whirs and then dies again. It's a few years old so I guess it was just time.
The main thing that is gone is my music. That and my pr0n. Most of the music is on my Ipod (luckily) but I lost about 25 gigs worth of TV shows. Sad thing, last week I was starting to burn all my tv shows onto DVDs but then got distracted by something shiny. Le Sigh.
I know Apple allows you to download all the stuff you purchased once. But a) I don't need it all, just the 25 gigs from the past year and b) I have no place to actually store it on.
Grrr argh.
