I think I realized last night why the current Spider-Man storyline, "One More Day" has been bugging me so much.
I've been a Spidey fan for as long as I've been reading comics. He's among my favorite characters, favorite titles, and just all around favorite. I'll continue reading, because that's what I do. This storyline might change with the next writer, or the next editor, or whatever. This won't stop me from being a fan. But as a fan, I feel like the people in charge of this story didn't care that I've been reading for decades *shudders* and that with one simple story they negated all those years of stories. It's just a slap in the face, and I hope they know that.
Jebus...when did I become one of those crazy comic book geeks...?

This is more for my own use than anything, so that I can keep track, but the following is a list of the known universes in DC's multiverse. There are a total of 52 universes, but only 26 have been seen. In DC's Countdown Arena limited series, various incarnations of superheroes are being pitted against each other. I was trying to remember which universes they came from, but couldn't remember. Hence the following (Spoilerific) list:
They haven't quite explained where New Earth, or the mainstream DC universe, is in this list, whether it's Earth 1 or Earth 0.

I've been reading Marvel's Initiative since the beginning. I gotta say, I like it so far. It brings about a bunch of new(ish) characters and focuses on how the status quo has changed after Civil War. I gotta admit, I really enjoyed the fact that Slapstick is in it. Slapstick is one of those almost throwaway characters from the 90s that has barely seen the light of day since his introduction. But there's something about him that always appealed to me. Maybe the fact that his powers make him a living cartoon character? Who knows.
