Wow. That was awesome. I'm at work right now. It's been slooooow, since Spring Break started this weekend. So I busted out my laptop just to work on some personal projects. TWB got on and we video chatted for a few hours, playing with photobooth and ichat video for the first time. It was pretty fun.
After dinner, my mom called me saying that my cousins from Mexico were in town. Though I wouldn't be able to see them, I figurd I'd try out an experiment. I asked if my godson was around and they said yeah. He logged on and instructed him on how to get yahoo messenger. I walked him through getting me on cam. And for the first time ever, I cammed with my familia. Apparenlty they all piled around the laptop and we did voice chat on Ichat and cammed via yahoo messenger. It was awesome. Though I couldn't see them, I could hear the excitement in their voices by seeing me, especially my mother and godmother, who technology is all kinds of foregin terrority for.
But the highlight came when they brought out my brother. Apparenlty he burst into a huge smile and started waving at me. He kept pointing to the screen and yelling out my name. I really, really wished I was able to see him. I miss him. He sounded very excited to "see" me.
I'll be going home in a few weeks, and hearing all their voices made me really homesick. So it's great timing.
